1000KW Cummins Marine Generator

Product Introduction

♦ Megawatt-Class V-Type Marine Power
The 1000KW Cummins marine generator features an original Cummins V18/V20 marine diesel engine with two-stage turbocharging and sectionalized high-pressure common rail technology, achieving fuel consumption as low as 200g/kWh. This Cummins marine generator is suitable for large cruise ships, LNG carriers, and deep-sea drilling vessels.

♦ Six-Fold Redundancy Cooling System
Standard independent six-circuit seawater/freshwater heat exchange cooling system (main water jacket + secondary intercooler + oil cooler + generator cooler + exhaust bypass cooler + turbocharger cooler) allows the remaining circuits to maintain 95% load operation if any one circuit fails. The marine diesel generator is equipped with a marine-grade bronze centrifugal pump and zinc alloy anti-corrosion device, adapting to high-salt and high-temperature conditions in tropical seas.

♦ Full-Vessel Grid Paralleling
Built-in digital synchronizer and load sharing module support ring-type paralleling of up to 16 units (total power up to 16MW), enabling intelligent dispatching of the entire vessel's power system. This Cummins marine diesel generator offers an optional bridge touchscreen centralized monitoring system, displaying real-time power, fuel consumption, and operating status for each unit.

FAQ Section

1. Q: What should I do if the unit encounters the "Overcrank" fault code (4 flashes)?

A: Dault code 4 means that the starting time exceeds 20-60 seconds (depending on the engine temperature). Troubleshooting steps:

Check fuel level - generator fuel suction pipes are usually higher than the main propulsion engines and will run out of fuel first

Check whether the fuel supply and return valves are open

Bleed the fuel system (at least 30 seconds)

Check battery connections, charging status, and cable condition

Check whether the air intake or exhaust system is blocked

Check if the fuel filter is clogged

2. Q: What is the reason and solution for the "seawater flow loss" fault code (7 flashes) on the unit?

A: Fault code 7 indicates that the seawater pressure in the heat exchanger is too low. Common causes and solutions:

The seawater cock is not open - open the cock

Seawater filter clogged - clean filter; if filter is above waterline, fill with water to assist startup

Seawater pump impeller wear - replace the impeller

Hoses are detached, kinked or leaking – reconnect or replace

The water inlet of the hull is blocked - clean the water inlet on the bottom of the boat

3. Q: What are the typical applications of Cummins 600-1000kW marine generators on ships?

A: This power segment is widely used in:

Power generation for merchant ship owners: auxiliary power supply systems for cargo ships, container ships, and oil tankers

Offshore engineering vessels: platform supply vessels (PSV), three-purpose work vessels (AHTS)

Tugboats and dredgers: the main source of power for heavy-duty work vessels

Large Ro-Ro ships/ferries: providing continuous power to the entire ship

Meets SOLAS surface temperature requirements and can be certified for UMS (Unattended Engine Space) applications

4. Q: What is the warranty policy for Cummins marine generators? How is the after-sales service?

A: Cummins provides a graded warranty policy:

Basic warranty: 1 year, hours vary by power type (continuous power is not limited to hours)

Extended warranty for major components: cylinder block, crankshaft, connecting rod, etc. are guaranteed for 3 years or 10,800 hours

Planned Maintenance Program: Performed by Cummins factory-trained technicians and includes comprehensive inspections, filter changes, load bank testing and more

Cummins has 9,000+ service outlets around the world and 24/7 emergency service response
